Battle Aces is a new generation real-time strategy PC game that allows players to customize their unit compositions by deploying 8 unique units with multiple tech tiers before each match, meaning the strategic depth starts even before your battles begin.

In-game, the action starts immediately, as players build and control large armies in fast-paced, action-packed battles. User interface and control innovations allow players to manage creation and reinforcement of their armies more easily than traditional RTS games, freeing up player attention to focus on critical moment-to-moment strategic decisions like attacking, defending, teching, expanding, and counter-play.

Battle Aces will be available to play on PC globally through Steam. Languages available include: English, French, German, Spanish (EU), Spanish (LatAm), Chinese (Simplified) Korean, Japanese, and Portuguese (Brazilian) with more confirmed at a later date.

Battle Aces is set in a future sci-fi universe within the Solar System. Newly discovered teleportation technology has changed the face of warfare as humanity struggles amongst the planets for limited space and resources. In this era, war is waged between high-tech drones controlled by commander-mercenaries known as Battle Aces. For more details, see the “World” page.

Unit composition through selection of units into unit decks before the match allows players to tailor their gameplay to suit their play style. The Unit Deck feature also results in a wider variety of in-game matchups and decision making compared to traditional RTS games with rigid factions, where faction vs faction matchups often start to play out similarly over time.

Through UI and control innovations, Battle Aces players can place more of their attention on moving and attacking with their armies, while still having the ability to create large armies and make critical strategic decisions on teching, expanding, and counter-play.

Finally, Battle Aces matches are designed to be quick and hard-hitting experiences. With a 10 minute maximum match time, players can enjoy a satisfying battle experience with multiple expansions, tech advancements, and engaging mass army battles in a matter of minutes. The next challenge is just a short click away.

Battle Aces is a free-to-play game, where players will be able to earn in-game currency to unlock new units simply by playing the game, or choose to use real money to unlock units and cosmetics more quickly.

We intend to launch Battle Aces with approximately 50 units. In addition to these initial units, we plan to update the game through seasons with regular updates. With each new season we’ll introduce new units and personalization unlocks, as well as make balance changes to address issues, and keep the game experience fresh and exciting.

There will always be a path to unlock units through earned in-game currency. Players will also be able to choose their next unit unlock, instead of unlocking them in a predetermined order. With approximately 50 units planned at launch, and multiple viable and balanced play styles, we aim to make Battle Aces competitive and fun for all types of players.

Players will be able to personalize their look and feel with a variety of in-game options. These include different Battle Ace portraits, unit colorways, sprays, emotes, core explosion animations, and more. Players can unlock various cosmetics through both gameplay and paid transactions.

Battle Aces is designed to be a very social experience with friends. The in-game friends list is linked to the players’ Steam friends list. Through that interface, players can invite their friends to team up in a 2v2 ranked match or spectate a friend’s match if they’re currently playing in a matchmade game.

Custom games will also be available, where players can set up 1v1 or 2v2 matches in a private room and invite spectators to watch.

Also, in 2v2 matches, a robust and intuitive ping system makes communication with teammates a snap.

1v1 and 2v2 competitive modes, and 2vsAI is planned as well.
